History

 

1600 Brezeo, 1773 Brezovecz. Founded by the Brezovčík stream, its first record is in 1600 The village belonged to the Humenné town dominion, and after it passed under the dominion of Paulin monks of Trebišov. In the XVIII century belonged to Prešov Archibishopric. During the History, its inhabitants were occupied as woodmen and seasonal workers.  Source: Roberto Cannoni, Italy
