History

 

1585 Ostroznicza, Osztrocznycza, 1773 Ostrosznica. Situated in the Stružnica valley, mentioned for the first time in 1585, it belonged to the Humenné town. After it passed under the dominion of Paulin monks of Trebišov. In the 1830 it passed in the property of the Prešov Archibishopric.
