Heading:

 Nomen Jurisdictionis = Name of the “district” (in this case: Zemplen)

Nomen Loci conscripti = Name of the described settlement

Columns:

  1. Nomina contribuentium = Names of taxpayers

  2. Personae Contribuentium utiusque sexus conjugatae, aut non conjugatae, inde ab expleto 18vo aetatis anno usque 60um inclusive = The number of taxpayers of either sex, married or not, between the ages of 18 and 60 incl. [only!].

  3. Ex his sunt = Of which are:

    • Honorationes = “nobles” (aristocracy)

    • Cives = citizens

    • Coloni = farmers (renting the land till 1848)

    • Inquilini = tenants

    • Subinquilini = subtenants

    • Fratres = brothers

    • Filii = sons

    • Filiae = daugters

    • Servi = servants (male)

    • Ancillae = servants (female)

    • Opifices = craftsmen

    • Mercatores = merchants

    • Quaestores = bursars (? living on lending money)

  4. Domus a quibus Census servitur = house of which the census concerns (?)

  5. Fundi Intravillani = intravillan land
